The NC550SFP is an eight lane (x8) PCI Express (PCIe) 10 Gigabit network solution offering optimal throughput for a ProLiant Ethernet adapter. This PCI Express Gen 2 adapter from an Emulex/ServerEngines alliance ships with two SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable) cages suitable for connecting to Direct Attach Cable (DAC) or fiber modules supporting SR fiber optic cabling.
